Life can be sad, happy, good, bad or involve intense combinations of all of these human states. Life really depends a lot on how you use what you are given. I hope that the music reflects this!

In August 1991 I left El Salvador after living there for eight enjoyable years. I arrived in England to spend what was to be the most unpleasant year of my life. I found it really hard to settle back into life in the UK. This provided the beggining of what eventually became BROKEN HEARTS. By August 1992 I was living and working as a teacher in Bogota, Colombia. It was there that most of the rest of the songs on this CD record materialised.

Rain Songs is inspired by rain and relationships in the following places: Belfast, Sheffield, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, and London. Mandeville, Kingston Town, Ocho Rios, Negril & Montego Bay, Chicago, San Salvador, and Central America.

Morena, my wife, kept insisting that I produced a CD version. Who am I to argue with a public demand of one? I Have enjoyed every minute of this music making process. I hope that you enjoy it too.

Lifesongs: A look at human relationships in music and life during a documentary film of Terry Christian as he rehearses and records his songs and plays one final concert before leaving Mauritius to live in Tokyo, Japan.

The film also documents the perspectives of the Mauritian musicians involved in the project, interviews with family members and a trip down memory lane, which details Terry's experiences with music and life in general.
