"Lifesongs: Songs inspired by life situations: relationships, stories heard - real or imagined, events probable and improbable, reflections about the past, thoughts about what could or may be...Life can be sad, happy, good, bad or involve intense combinations of all of these human states. Life really depends a lot on how you use what you are given. I hope that the music reflects this!

The nine songs that ended up on “Sugar Cane Road” came from a batch of about 25 recorded songs – some acoustic solo recordings and some rehearsed and recorded with the musicians listed in the credits. The songs that did not make it onto this CD may surface on future projects – we shall see. Some are being performed live."
